Lumecca IPL treatment uses technology that delivers precise wavelengths to the treatment area and destroys the unwanted pigmentations caused by age and sun damage, effectively leaving you with more radiance and an even skin tone.

The La Vie Experience:

  1. Prepare the Skin: Our staff will clean the treatment area and apply a cool gel to protect your skin from the heat emitted by the device. You will be asked to wear protective glasses to safeguard your eyes from the laser light.

  2. Session: Our expert will then glide the Lumecca® Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) device over your skin, repeatedly exposing the treatment area to the laser.

  • Patients notice some redness and a slight skin warming right after the treatment, which subsides within an hour. Some have also noticed darkening of pigmentation spots 24-48 hours post-treatment, which flake off within a week – leaving them with a more even skin tone.

    After treating vascular lesions, patients may see the vein blanch and disappear or a color change in the vessel, which dissipates after a few days.

  • Patients notice visible differences right after the first session. But the number of sessions required depends on the skin type, treatment area, severity of sun damage, age, and level of imperfections. Our expert will assess your skin on your first consult and design a customized treatment plan to give you the best results.

  • Results can be noticed 1-2 days after the first session. After 1-2 weeks, patients have seen more glowing, youthful skin.

  • Most patients do not experience side effects, and skin reaction usually resolves within a few hours. Patients may find they are sensitive to sunlight immediately after treatment. It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight and tanning and always wear sunscreen.
