  • Intravenous (IV) nutrient therapy is a method to quickly deliver key nutrients into the bloodstream. The body absorbs 100% of the nutrients because the nutrients are injected directly into the blood.

    This therapy is meant to act as a supplement, not a replacement for whole foods and oral hydration.

    It is not meant to cure or treat a specific disease.

  • At La Vie, we use IV Nutrient therapy to achieve your overall wellness goals. This treatment supports the following:

  • Each patient's medical history is carefully evaluated before we administer IV therapy.

    All our IV nutrition kits and premixes are FDA-regulated. All IVs are administered by our trained medical staff and performed under the guidance of Dr. Lisa Smaldone.

  • Side effects are mild to none. Patients may experience some discomfort, redness, itching, or inflammation around the injection site which subsides within a few minutes. Allergic reactions to this treatment are rare and therefore should only be administered under a doctor's guidance.

    However, visit your nearest emergency department if you experience body rash, throat swelling, dangerously low blood pressure, or any symptoms of anaphylaxis following an IV administration. If you know you are allergic to any ingredients, let us know!

  • The whole process is completed in 60-90 minutes. You receive a quick medical assessment and will have to sign a few forms before we start.

  • The frequency depends on the treatment plan customized to your individual needs. We recommend two IV drips a month to help balance any vitamin deficiencies and preventive wellness. Weekly subcutaneous injections of vitamins and amino acids may also be advisable.

  • Yes! Under the guidance of Dr. Smaldone, we can create a customized IV nutrient plan based on your unique concerns and needs.

  • Yes, we do. We offer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections that are very quick. You may even be a candidate for self administration at home.
